Used to love the place so when the new one opened I took my nieces(they are 4 & 7) out to eat there. There was no one at the door and we ended up waiting about 10 minutes before being seated. Fewer food choices which normally I wouldn't mind but they got rid of most of the things that actually made me want to go there in the first place, I do realize that they are not there to specifically please just me though. The food was either burnt or severely over-cooked to the point that my nieces couldn't eat it. This was just my experience after they opened.
Although I never ever write reviews for places I have to say this for this place. . . Their food is amazing! It's no longer Chinese food just to let y'all know. The restaurant changed their owners and now it's a Japanese or Korean buffet. I noticed as much when the food tasted fantastic, this family owned business is starting out as you can tell once you walk in but I'm supporting it 100% so do not judge the looks and the soda machine once they get their business's out there they will have more to work with :) ! The family is great and wonderful and will make it the best experience <3 please don't shun this family and opportunity for crestview to have a good Japanese/Korean food buffet!
I was looking forward to eating yummy Chinese Food, and had high expectations when I visited. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. Arrived there shortly after they opened and the food didn't seem fresh; barely warm and many items didn't have much flavor. The recent remodeling they did to the place is good and the restrooms were clean. Customer service was professional and friendly -- reason I gave stars. I do honestly hope they improve through time, not just for their success - but to cater to the people in the surrounding area with quality food.
The remodel is great. Buffet is revamped and has new items. Tasty food for a good price. If something you want is not on the buffet they usually will cook it for you. The staff is friendly. The owner will go out of her way to make you a satisfied customer They have added Vietnamese Pho and other new Asain dishes. I highly recommend giving them a try.
First..the ladies bathroom was nasty and had zero toilet paper accept the handicap stall and that toilet was nasty also. Trash hadn't been emptied since they opened that day at least. We went at 530ish..there were a total of 3 tables so there was plenty of people to clean and stock it. The glass partitions had not been cleaned since who knows when...honestly as well as the wood paneling. We could see dried sauce on it from it not being wiped down after each use of table..my goodness it only takes a minute. I'm not even sure underneath the condiment holder had been wiped..afraid to look. Now with the food..not labeled properly at all. Food was cold and tasteless. There was absolutely no steam coming from the buffet. No wonder everything was cold. Servers had plenty of time to clean..no excuses. Sorry but I was a server for 12 yrs and never in my.life would I let my customers sit in a unclean area or use filthy bathrooms. It only takes a minute. And if you have a check list for after each shift things will be done daily and make it easier to keep up..everyone will have a routine. I will blame that on management. .they should know..they are the ones that should know this running a restaurant. .it's basic stuff. If we had only.looked at the reviews BEFORE we went in. We rated this restaurant with 1 star because it had a.couple.of nice tvs.
I wished I would have looked at the reviews a little bit better before I ate at this restaurant. don't waste your money and time...the buffet was cold and didn't have too much out. We took 1 bite of our food and decided that we wanted to leave . we went up front and talk to the manager and told her the problem we were having. she put in for us to pay for our food anyway. when we refused she called the police department.well we ended up having to pay for our food anyway and weny down the street to Ryans where there was better food.... but before we left the police officer said that the police department would not even eat at that place and the police officer and Ryan's said that restaurant just opened back up after being shut down from the health department for having a bugs and rodents problem .
I found very little on their buffet that I enjoyed. The rice was dry and hard... The hibachi set up was unappealing.. After a long thought about it though, if I had a choice to go back I wouldn't pick them only for the lack of appealing Menu items but if someone else paid I would go. This also being said, their food that I did enjoy was delicious and I did not have any stomach issues the next day As I have had from other local restaurants.
We were a bit skeptic of this place after seeing both very positive and very negative reviews. But, we came on a Friday night and were very satisfied. As with any buffet, some dishes were meh, but many were wonderful. Definitely a great place to dine in Crestview if you want something more than take-out. We'll be coming again, and recommend it to friends. Staff were very friendly too. Great value for the food we had, and a lot of choice ($13/person food + drink). Very clean too!
